01. Using PNG as a texture file

Other than PSD files, you can use PNG files as model texture files.

To use a PNG texture file, you can either import it using the [Texture List] button in the menu above the canvas, or drag and drop it from the explorer to the main program window.

    Using the Texture List Button

1. Click on the [Texture List] button on top of the canvas, it is the left button.

2. No texture will be available in a new project, so click on the [Select From Files] buttons in the top left corner of the dialogue box.

3. Select the PNG file you would like to use and click [OK]

4. The file will be imported into the project as a texture file, and will be marked as [unused] for now.
If there are problems with the file, such as an incorrect size or corrupt data, it will not be loaded.

5. Click on the loaded texture to open up the Texture Editing dialogue box, where you can add or edit the polygons.

Using the Drag & Drop method to import a PNG texture file

1. You can drag and drop PNG files directly into Modeler from the file explorer.

2. When the file is dropped, you will have the option to import it either as a Texture File, or as a Guide Image file.
Select the [Texture File] option and click [OK]
If there are problems with the file, such as an incorrect size or corrupt data, it will not be loaded.

3. Once it is loaded, you can edit the texture file to create the polygons as you like.
